Pets4Sale classified adverts in the UK
At Pets4Sale, we are deeply committed to the well-being of animals.
Pet Advertising Guidelines:
We encourage you to review Pets4Sale policies concerning the advertising and rehoming of pets:
1. Consider adopting a rescue pet, as there are numerous deserving animals seeking a loving home. Keep in mind that while young pets require significant attention, older animals may be more suitable for many families.
2. Puppies and kittens must not be rehomed before they reach 8 weeks of age.
3. No third party may advertise puppies or kittens under 6 months of age for rehoming on our platform.
4. Only the breeder responsible for the mother or a rescue center may list puppies or kittens under 6 months.
5. Pets should not be advertised for rehoming until they are fully weaned and independent from their parents.
6. Breeders with three or more litters within a 12-month period must obtain and submit a local authority license.
7. Licensed breeders must include their local authority license number in any pet advertisement.
8. Listings for puppies or kittens must feature a photograph of the birth parent, who should be available for viewing at the time of purchase.
9. Female dogs should only have puppies after reaching 12 months of age, may breed once a year, and should not have more than six litters in their lifetime.
10. Shipping of pets is not permitted. 11. Listings must disclose any pets that require licenses for ownership and transport.
12. Puppy farms are strictly prohibited (further information on our efforts to combat puppy farming can be found here). If you suspect any illegal activity, please report it; your concerns will be taken seriously.
13. All third parties must provide written information outlining the five basic needs of the animal, as stipulated by the Animal Welfare Act, with each rehomed pet.
14. Pregnant or lactating pets are not permitted for rehoming.
15. Pets that have undergone ear cropping are not allowed.
16. Wild animals, including but not limited to hedgehogs, ground squirrels, or monkeys, cannot be advertised.
17. Pets must not be listed for exchange for other pets, goods, or services in any manner.
18. It is mandatory for all dogs to be microchipped and registered with their breeder before they can be advertised for rehoming.
19. All advertisements undergo moderation to guarantee that banned breeds and prohibited species are not listed for sale on our website.
20. Only pets that are presently situated in the UK may be advertised for rehoming on our platform.
21. Dogs that have undergone tail docking must have the docking certificate available for inspection upon request.
